Questions for the Zeitgeist- June 25, 2006

- David Edmonson, former CEO of Radio Shack, resigned in February after being caught lying on his resume! I mean, sometimes people take "liberties" with their employment records, but DAMN! First H&R Block, then Enron, now Radio Shack. With so many corporate officers fudging the numbers, who do we trust?

- With James Gandolfini mediating talks between HBO and his co-stars Steve Van Zandt and Tony Sirico (who are asking for DOUBLE what they were paid per episode for last season's lackluster year)...Isn't it time for "The Sopranos" to 'sleep with the fishes'?

- Pete Townsend- guitarist for The Who- named on a sex offender's list following a child porn offense in 2003, publishes an erotic short story on his website depicting graphic sex between a 16- year old boy and girl. If these allegations and those against MIJAC are true, are ANY kids safe anymore?

- According to a Reader's Digest survey, New York City is the most polite city in the world. Where, exactly, is this city that they're speaking of, and why haven't they informed Trayshawna at the McDonald's on 42nd Street of that survey? (yeah, I put her ass on BLAST, but given the funky attitude I got from her the other day simply for requesting some extra pepper packets, its called for!!!)

- Knicks head coach Larry Brown is ousted after a 23-59 season (the second worst in the NBA) after one year and with 40 millions dollars left on his 5-year contract. President/General Manager Isiah Thomas will take the reigns as head coach. Shouldn't "Zeke" also take some of the blame for the Knicks' worst season in history and a bloated payroll of $125 million ($110 million of which is STILL owed to Stephon Marbury and Steve Francis)?

- One of Andy Warhol's wigs fetches $10,800 at a recent auction at Christie's. Who is going to wear it?

-Two locations for the 'Hip-Hop Soda Shop' are scheduled to open this summer- one in Harlem and the other in Union Square- with "Diplomat" extraordinaire Julez Santana and NBA Beast Ben Gordon lined up as future investors. How long will it be before the novelty of menu items like "Snoop's Drop it like its Hot Dogg" wears off?

- Nothing against Cheri Dennis or the Making The Band (3!) chicks, but...shouldn't Diddy leave the "pop tarts" alone and just do a TOTAL reunion? Where ARE Kima, Keisha, and Pam?

- And while we're on Bad Boy, what happened to that Elliot Ness and Babs Bunny "Bonnie and Clyde" CD that was supposed to be released?

- Bad Boy, part three...Mezco Toys will be releasing a nine-inch Notorious B.I.G. action figure.

What the F$*&@)(%$&*KKK?

- Isn't Jody Watley's video for "Still a Thrill" STILL one of the funkiest songs (and videos) to come out of the late 80's? Shouldn't T-Boz remake this song and put some stank on it?
